52 Fun Things
to Do in the Car

Travel Games for your Road Trip:

License plate game --- print up maps  and see who can spot the most out of state license plates.

Travel  Auto Bingo --- look for signs, markers on the road to fill out your travel bingo cards

Letter games:

Disneyland Fanatics ---- Can you name all the attractions at Disneyland?
Each player takes a turn until the group runs out of attractions.
Expert level:  Expand your choices with parades, restaurants (i.e. The Blue Bayou) characters and even California Adventure.

S-T-A-R --- test your knowledge of movies and actors….. Start with either an actor/actress first – one person names someone, the next person names a movie they were in, the next person names another actor that was in that movie and so forth, going around the car until someone is stumped.   If they stop the sequence they get the letter S… first person to get all four letters that spell out S-T-A-R is out of the game.  Continue until there is a winner.

Example for three players:

First person:  Cameron Diaz
Second person: Charlie’s Angels
Third person: Drew Barrymore
Back to First Person: 50 First Dates
Second Person: Adam Sandler

“I’m going on a trip to Africa and I’m packing an aardvark”

Great for younger kids!  The first person starts has to name a place and what they would pack both starting with the letter A.  The second person must repeat the letter A and then add/say their sentence with the letter B.   This continues through the alphabet as each person adds to the list.
Note: The person with the letter Z will have to recite 25 other sentences that come before and then the last letter.

DJ

The person in the front seat, close to the cd player plays DJ.  He/she plays a few seconds of a song at which point everyone tries to guess singer and song title.  One point for correct singer. Two points for correct song title.  DJ keeps track on a piece of paper.
Length of time for this game: Well if driver and DJ have similar music tastes, then you’re good for awhile.  If not, Driver reserves the right to decide duration of the game.
