6-8 Russet Potatoes Peel Potatoes and place in 8 quart pot. Boil until tender. Chop garlic into desired consistency, set aside. Drain water and replace cooked potatoes in pot. Mash with hand mixer or potato masher until smooth. Add butter and let it melt. Then, add garlic, milk, and salt. Stir together. Drop in a ½ stick of butter, cover with lid to keep heat in and melt the butter on top. Keep warm until served. Feeds 10.
