Donuts and Holes

1 tube refrigerator biscuits (regular or buttermilk)
vegetable oil (for frying)
confectioners sugar

Heat 2 inches of oil in a small saucepan.

Remove biscuits from tube and place on a cutting board or other even surface. With a shot glass or a small, round cookie cutter, but circles from the middle of each biscuit.

Fry the donuts and the holes until golden brown (30-60 seconds). Remove from oil with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel. Sprinkle donuts and holes with powdered sugar or make a simple glaze with confectioners sugar and water.
