Happy Mother's Day to This Sunday, May 11th, is the official day we celebrate Moms. Mother’s Day has been observed in the United States since 1914, when President Woodrow Wilson declared the second Sunday in May as a day for Americans to honor mothers who had lost their sons to war. Mother’s Day has expanded into a day of giving thanks to all moms. We wish you the happiest of days as we celebrate our motherhood and honor the women who nurtured and raised us. Most of the nearly 13 million single family homes in the U.S. are headed by single mothers. Many of those moms struggle to make ends meet because they lack the education to gain a better-paying job. Between work and parenting responsibilities, carving out time and money to further their education is often not an option.
